The Gillette building, a five-storey concrete office and warehouse, was built by the Gillette Safety Razor Co. in 1911 as a beachhead for its burgeoning Canadian operations. Renovated as a 55-unit condominium complex, The Gillette is located on a quiet side street across from St. Patrick's Basilic in the Quartier International, the area around the Palais des Congres, Caisse de Depot headquarters, the World Trade Centre and the International Civil Aviation building.
